Alert. Alert. New Jewelry Line by stylist-Tamila Purvis & art director Melanie Kamsler. Both, similarly to myself, find great inspiration from the 1973 cult flick ‘Holy Mountain.’ And one can certainly see such inspirations within their imagery for their Debut collection ‘Real Life Awaits Us.

You know I’ll be waiting. Waiting to see not only the incredible statement pieces, but to follow their print work and styling for each new collection.

I came across Aleksandra Rdests work by way of my man Jordan Domont, whom has an insatiable appetite for all things art/illustration. So I insist on looking through his bookmarks every once in a while, as his picks inspire me as much as he.



I love the fluidity, noticeable strokes and abstract patterning within the work. As I continue to dive deeper into the idea/necessity to design my own textiles (if anyone has ever tried to source eco fabric, they’ll understand) I am finding much reference material within ‘storm’ like art…its moody, has depth and somehow, soul. Rdest strikes a chord.
